jw--whats the fastest anyone has gone in reverse?

 

Hey Chris...I don't think we get this question every two weeks!!

Hmmmm, I've maybe gone 15 mph or so. But I'm sure you were looking for a much more exciting number. I did see some jackass going 55-60 mph in reverse on one of those Fox police video shows (BTW, he wasn't driving a Type R).

 

man, that'll be the day. Imagine seeing an R on Wildest Police Chases and beating all the cops.

 

i would have to say 15 mph, but damn i'd love to see a teg whoop up on the cops on those shows, hehe

 

I've hit VTEC in reverse. It actually does engage. Yes, this was on the track (no lie). I don't know what speed it was though. I wasn't about to look at the speedo at that speed! I'll calculate it if I have time later.

 

I know I've hit at least 30mph. I was at a Gymkhana, and part of the course was to back down a straightaway to the finish. Naturally, for a good time, this was to be done at the highest speed possible....

LOL that would be funny as hell a Type R outhandling the cops on that show only the helicopter could keep up through all the turns that would be funny as hell to out manuver and accelerate away from the line of cruisers LOL

 

yeah, but hard to outrun a radio....still, if an R gets stolen, it might be cool to have video of the joyride, and have the satisfaction of seeing the guys get caught AND have some pretty cool proof for yer insurance

Was looking at this today, actually, 1st gear is like 1:3.26 (off memory, could be wrong), reverse is 1:3.000 ratio. So probably around 30 MPH is top speed.
