I got there late so i only got in three runs. i have been racing for 7 years and this is my forst time out with this honda so i am still getting used to launching the sohc motor. this is only my second honda with a stock motor. my last run was the best but oddly my worst reaction, but my best 60'. but my 60' can be much lower. i feel the car can be running like 15.5 as is, maybe a bit better once i am used to it. i have only had it on the street for 5 days. i have a turbo in my house that will be on this motor shortly. let me know what you guys think. comments welcome!

I have that same set-up but I have been struggling with it. How did you get the o2 wired up? mine has been a wiring fiasco, that and my p28 went bad.... any tips?
the o2 was easy. i will find my papers and let you know exactly what pinouts to wire it to. i just wired it straight to the ecu. wiring just took me a few hours.
My best is a 16.2 with a D16z6 with I/H/E I only trap at 83 mph. I am over a mile high above sea leval so you should be able to do better.

My best time was a 15.8 w/ 55 shot of ZEX in my D16y8.
Not a bit of traction 1- end of third + it was my first time ever at the track.

btw-all 3 of these runs were on 30 psi of tire pressure instead of like 10-15psi. my gauge was stuck so i couldn't measure it when i got there. but later i borrowed someone's and lowered it but i didn't get to race. so i will try again next week and my itr throttle body i just picked up.
plus i was launching lower than i should of b/c i am still getting used to this particular car. plus it was my first time at this track.
i just put a post up about my time, but why not contribute here?
i ran a 16.2 in my 92 hatch, stock dx (d15b7)... its lowered, has no passenger or rear seats... i'm aiming for high 15's, stock

A 2.492 60 foot, 10.0 1/8th.
175/70/13s on VX wheels @ 35 psi.
I know you can go faster.

You can do much better.
Reaction time means jack. Your 60' needs to come down a bit.
Where did you run?
Atco?
Englishtown?
Island?
lol
What were the track conditions like? Was it hot/humid? Since you are in NJ you can't be running any higher than 90ft above sealevel. So elevation is not really a factor.
Just as an example of how much better you can do, i managed a 15.9 in my 95 EX coupe when it was bonestock...

pittsburgh raceway park in new alexandria pa. i live an hour from there now. i moved from jersey 3 years ago to finish school out here. it was like 80 degrees but i think i am a few hundred or so feet above sea level out here. not sure exactly. all 3 runs were on 30 psi @ front tires. my gauge wasn't workin so i left them. hope this helps

My last time drag racing was last summer.
94 Civic Si, no rear seat or spare, ported head, intake and custom exhaust,
ran a 15.5 @ 88 mph with a 2.38 60 foot.
I could list all the things I did wrong or could have changed, but that's what I ran...it's slow either way
