This girl I know said she's selling a '94 Prelude, White. I think it's a Type SH VTEC, but i'm not sure. It's got a sunroof... not familiar with Prelude models, only Civic models, but do all Preludes have a sunroof? Speedometer reaches 140 MPH.

I have a '95 Civic EX right now, but it's an Auto.

The Prelude is a 5-spd. Manual.

I just got my car a month ago... what would be the best way to sell my car or pay it off @ the dealership right now so I could get the Prelude? I'm financing it right now. Don't have the cash to pay it all off. Suggestions??? Thanks.

 

The Type-SH Ludes didn't come out until '97. The bodystyle of that '94 Prelude runs from 92-96. The VTEC model was only available in blue-green, black, and red and came out in '93. So that white one is either an SI or S model, which do not have VTEC. The Si is still a good car, has 160 hp.

Both the Si AND the S models don't have VTEC?

 

thats right only the VTEC model has VTEC. the Si has a 2.3L 160 hp 156 lb-ft engine, and the S has a 2.2L 130 hp 140lb-ft engine (that torque may not be right) but thats it

 

A 94 VTEC will have leather interior, and an higher redline. (7500)
Don't let stickers fool you.

Also, it would help if under the hood the valve cover said "DOHC VTEC" instead of a regular DOHC valve cover, or a SOHC valve cover.

i'm not doing it to my Civic 'cause it's an AT... I don't think i'll do any performance mods to my Civic, that's why i'm waiting 'till i'm 18 or when I get that Prelude.
