One guy at a bodyshop told me if I want to match paint a hood, they need to paint the fenders as well so the colors match. Is this true?

 

if you told us the color of your car, the model, and the year it would help.
for example, a milano red teg. lets say its a 95 and the hood needs re-painting. you only re-paint the hood, yet the fenders are still shinny, they look 8 yrs. old. and compared to the new paint on the hood, they might not match. especially when you are dealing with a 2 color paint system ( milano red = orange and red)

 

lol. my car is a 1995 milano red integra. hood is from some other car...hood is also milano red but the color has faded.
