b18b good swap?
Is a b18b a good swap for my 90 CRX DX? I want to know how much HP these push out, and whats the best route to go with this? Like N/a or turbo or what? I would like to go N/A though. And what kind of shift linkage would i have to get for this swpa???
The b18b is about 140 Hp and 130 torque... It is best for a turbo... If you want to go N/A i would get something with VTEC (ie. B18c1). It may cost more but It will put out a lot more power than a N/A B18b... Also... Since you have a Dx you will need to do some MPFI swapping... If you search you can find out more about this... I dont know much about it myself because My car is already MPFI... You can also get a shift linkage from Hasport or HMotorsOnline.com... You can also cut down a longer integra linkage and weld it back together...
Provided you use the 1994-1995 ECU, these motors produce 142HP, 127ft-lb torque stock. They are not the most powerful motors out there. But they are certainly ALOT better than what you have.
sure why wouldnt it be a good swap? i had a b18a in my 89 hatch and i loved it..i went NA route and i did a pretty good time with it..as for the shift linkage..you would have to cut and weld it or get the adjustable hasport shift linkage..
