coolant drain bolt behind engine block
on a 96 accord 4cyl the engine coolant drain bolt is behind the engine block just left of the oil filter correct? how many psi is that thing bolted down? ive been here for 4 hours trying to unbolt that bastard and it wont even move. no impact tools just raw muscle here. for the guys who did a engine coolant flush how did you get that piece of **** unbolted?
just hold the ratchet straight on the bolt and use a BFH to hit the ratchet it will break it loose ... but if your doing this just to flush your coolant then your dumb just run water through the radiator (with the drain plug removed) till the thermostat opens a few times and your engine will be totally clean ... actually cleaner then with just taking that bolt out
im not dumb
haha anyway i just did a radiator flush.. i was planning to do the radiator and engine block but yeah that damn bolt is stuck so yeah.. oh well better luck next time

just disconnect the heater hose it will be alot easier its close above the oil filter. while u do that make shure that you have your heater on. so all the excess coolant pours out.
That is messy. Thats what I had to do when I couldn't get the drain bolt loosened when I pulled my motor. Make sure you have something big in diameter to catch all the coolant.
