Default Tuning

My buddy has a b20 with type r head, type r cams, compression is 12:1 and a done up block. Port and polish, 3 angle valve job etc. 290 cc injectors. Anyways, he wants to know if it is worth tuning? If so, with what? Thanks.

Nah man. I mean with a "done-up" motor who needs tuning?

Without tunning it's not worth evening turning the key as your likely to do more harm than good

Hondata seems like a reasonable set up for this engine.

how does your buddy have a "done up" motor and doesnt know whether or not its worth tuning it??? Is it just me or does anyone else find that interesting. If the guy has the brains to build a "done up" motor then he should know he needs to tune that "done up" motor to get all the "done up" power

Yes, I find that amusing also. He thinks that tuning is mostly for cars with forced induction. I told him it was for all cars.
