Default Maintenance Required Light

I have a 5th gen, but i tried to reset the maintenance required light on a friends 6th gen and couldn't find it. I figured it would have slot for key like mine but no. Can someone shed some light?

Default Re: Maintenance Required Light (CaptainObvious)

If I remember correctly (when I went to the dealer), one of the guys stuck the key in the ignition, pushed the button that sticks out of the guage pod (the button that resets the trip meter), held the button down, turned the ignition to the ON position without starting the engine, and waited for 10 seconds or so before he let go of the button. I'm not 100% sure if this is the way to do it. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
