Default LS/VTEC TURBO

My friend has an LS integra, and he just recently pieced together a turbo kit and installed it. Were wondering if wed see any power increases with an b16 head, or a b18 vtec head? Thanks

What head would be a better choice? Will there be problems with the air/fuel ratio with the turbo and vtec?

personally, i think you would be better off with out the vtec. You will have to have a nicely tuned fuel/timing curve for when the vtec turns to prevent a lean condition or too much timimg. A turbo forces air into the engine. How much you want forced into the engine will depend on how much boost you run. It would seem that adding more air when vtec kicks in, results would not be that great. With a NA engine the results are better because you provide more air on the top end, the turbo can provide these results without vtec. Plus the vtec head will bring the CR up to at leat 10.1:1, not a good number for a turbo and this higher CR will require that less boost be made to prevent detonation. I have seen people do it, but it will cost you more....unless you have money to burn. I wouldn't do it....you can make more power than you need with justa god turbo setup that is properly tuned for you engine.
