What would happen If i were to take out the secondary o2 sensor from the cat and re-use it as the primary sensor. I recently changed out my primary o2 sensor w/ a del sol unit, and now i'm running hella lean. I'm running a straight pipe that has no bung, so I have no use for the secondary anyways.

Why do you have a secondary O2 if you are converted to OBD1?

I think he means is it possible to run the secondary O2 sensor in place of the primary. IMo, I don't think you can simply plug it in, you might have to splice a couple wires, recently I blew my primary sensor and when I searched the net for a new one, stores sold an O2 sensor for the primary and secondary, i dont think its interchangeable.

 

i don't know about any differences between the two actual plugs, but if it helps you at all, i ran without one at all for over half a year, without noticing a significant decrease in power or gas mileage...

 

w/out running a secondary, or primary o2 sensor plugged in?
