Wes has been informed that Sunday the 7th, the day before the schuduled event, has been offered to us. If anyone would object to switching from Monday to Sunday please speak up now. It would still be a one day event for the same price. Thanx

I am not sure on that Jim all I know is that Aaron the track pres. called Wes and offered to switch him Sunday for Monday for the same price. Wes is on the road for work today so he might be able to fill us in a bit more when he gets back.

Thats what I would like to know also, because I would rather not run on Sunday if Vipers track time is going to cut into our track time.

The calendar on Midamericamotorplex.com right now says Vipers are running on sunday

 

Sunday does work for me, so does Monday.

here's what's PROBABLY happening.......

1) the viper guys canceled one of their days because there just aren't that many vipers in iowa, and now the track owner is offering it to us just to get the slot filled

or

2) the viper guys don't have that many people because there just aren't that many vipers in iowa, and they're now inviting us to share on sunday. it would most likely be alternating 30 min sessions or so......which is fine with me either way.

btw......what kinda crowd are we estimating from HT??

 

Viper days actually starts on Friday so maybe they are just cutting it back to a two day event instead of three....

Iowa? What does Iowa have to do with it? Oh yes, the track is in Iowa. But I'm pretty sure that over 80 percent of the population living within 50 miles of the track is in Nebraska, not Iowa.

Population of Omaha NE: 391,000 (including umpteen dragons)
Population of Council Bluffs IA: 58,000 (including zero dragons)

 

I would prefer Sunday as well

i also doubt that there is an abundance of vipers in nebraska either

side note: i hope they don't send us and the vipers out at the same time

You know, NE does have the largest Viper (inventory wise) dealership in the Nation. Allthough, that most likely has nothing to do with how many NE vipers there are being that everyone around here is soo damn conservative.

Hello everyone,

The Vipers will not be running that weekend at all at MAM, so we won't being sharing the track with anyone.

Just an FYI, earlier this year the Viper club did have an event at MAM and they had a turnout of about 60 Vipers. I was running fine with the 2nd highest group.

Viper = fast
Viper Driver does not necessarily = fast

 

BTW tnord, my roomate will be there in his Spec Miata.

that's awesome

i dunno if i'll bring the miata (in whatever stage of complete it may be), the 240, both, or whatever else i may have a month and a half from now

if i wanted to bring 2 cars do i pay by the car or by the driver??

 

I really want to go, but I need to get my car worked out before anything. Hopefully I will know more this weekend.
