ex front lip install q's...
im trying to fit the ex front lip from a 95 civic on my 93 hatch but it doesnt exactly fit well. i have all the correct hardware from honda to install it but theres gaps in 3 different places. any tips....ill post pics tomorrow. thanks
Heat gun is your freind. I got mine brand new and it fit like
**** until I used some industrial bolts from Home Depot.
They wont ever rust over like the oem setup so im happy.

the fit should be perfect... there are clips that go on the bottom of the bumper and screws that go on the bottom of the lip that holds it up with a snugged fit..... i used zip-ties on mine..... the fit was great before i started scraping everywhere....it slowly got pulled out of shape and bent so there are gaps now
i wonder wtf is wrong with mine then. it was on my friends car and it fit fine. i took all the hardware off hes bumper and switched it over to mine and it doesnt work worth ****. ill post pics tonight. any other suggestions?
Over time your bumper will not hold the same shape as the next guys. That's why an OEM bumper may fit excellent on one car, and like crap on the next car. Fender benders, bumps, and scrapes will "shape" your bumper over time. The heat gun idea sounds good, I'd give it a try.

i had the same problems with mine when i installed it cause the lip i bought was cheap as f*ck
i learned my lessons "what you paid is what you get"
basically i had to mod mine so it would fit......but i had the exact same problem as yours (it fits really bad). so i just cut and modify it to make it fit. also use a bunch of plastic screws to make them hold better.

try self tapping (self driling) screws, those helped me screw my lip onto my 93sol. Yeah it didnt fit exactly at first, but i did some cutting, test fitting, then drilling the lip right on. dont worry about the pre-made holes, just start drilling the lip on wherever you see fit because they are self drilling.
you have to strech it an bend it and if you have to try many, many self taping screws I fitted a 90 teg front lip on my wifes 93 gsr and used about 30 self tapping screws.have a friend help start from one end and drive the screws in. good luck.
