to let you know there will be no fuel enrichment with a amanual switch.
the spool valve is grounded. so alls you need to do is put 12v to the black wire coming off of the spool valve.

Try an MSD rpm activated switch.

so since there is no fuel enrichement whii i still see any added power from the vtec? i should have enough fuel as it is with the vortec fmu. thanks, i was wondering if it was just 12v or if it used some relay or something to give it less or more voltage.

but you still wont get that extra fuel...more power, but not as much as you should be getting.

im only boosted like 1-2 psi, so im not too worried about that doing any damage. why would you suggest against it though? its still like a more aggressive cam(basically) when i manually switch to vtec so i should be getting more power anyways, and my A/F gague says im pretty rich so maybe that will help a little too.

if you are goin that far, just slit the o-ring on the spool valve it will be on all the time. if you want to melt it go ahead. if it were easy and beneficial, everyone would do it. there is no fuel enrichment and if you arent running a wide band o2 gauge or good a/f meter, i wouldnt trust that either. i melted my engine and it was green all the way.
