magnetic oil drain plug?

Default magnetic oil drain plug?

Hey, I did a search and only found prices, not what I was looking for...I just wanna know if this is something I should look into for my daily driver with stock motor. Thanks!!!!

i made one myself for my car. no serious racing but i do drive the crap out of the engine.
especially when i take a drive in the mountians.after every 3000 miles theres only
a thin film of metal on it. i dont think anyone really needs it.

I think this would be a great thing to have when you are running a rebuilt motor in because it will pick up all the excess metal from the new parts. But I think that you don't really need one on a motor that is already run in but then again it isn't a bad thing to have.

This is gonna show how little I know but how much of the internals of a Honda engine are steel/iron? What I'm getting at is that magnets won't attract aluminium bits. Has anyone tried one of these out and found shavings stuck to the plug?

$2 get a copper washer too .79 total is about $3
