Default I need all the help I can get!

Original Thread: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=559778

Well I bought a brand new alternator and installed it. We jump started the car and the battery and abs light was on...i then gave it some throttle and the battery and abs light dissapeared. We left the jumper cables on fer about 15 minutes and then took it off. 5 minutes later i decided to turn my headlights on...once i did that the gauges stopped werking, the rpm meter went to 0, the abs light came on, and my lights started to dim...so i got frusturated and jus turned off the car. Someone please help me, its my only car and it hasnt been werkin fer soo long ...i need all the help i can get! Maybe this will help also..i converted my car from auto to manual and did a b18b swap, its a 95 civic ex. It werked fer a week then this happend..

brand new or rebuilt?

sounds like it's mis-wired or bad.

I think if it's not the alternator it could be the:

ecu
voltage regulator
battery

something beyond my knowledge...

good luck.

i'm sure a fully charged battery would help. Did you check the voltage on the battery?
