Default few mpfi swap questions

alright ive got pretty much everything ready to go but i want to be sure im as close to 100% prepared as possible so im not running out looking for stuff

1) im wondering what exactly needs to be done with the dx throttle cable and how to go about getting it to work with the si tb

2) im missing a few nuts/bolts, namely the nuts that hold the fuel rail to the manifold and the two bolts that attach (i dont know what its called) to the top of the tb... can these be sourced from the dx manifold or do i have to try and find them elsewhere?

3) the studs on top of the fuel rail... i believe they hold on the channel that the injector wiring goes through (yes/no) do i need this? (im hoping not)

4) setting timing... if i mark the position of my old dist and install the si dizzy identically can i get by without a timing light? i would think so but just to be sure

1. You can loop it so that it works with the Si tbody. It's just ghetto though... buy an Si cable.

2. Many Honda nuts have the same thread, so it's possible your DX ones will work. Once again, try and find the proper ones if you can.

3. If it's just holding wiring, no. Make sure the wires are secure and won't burn or anything though.

4. Even if your dizzy is a hair off it can make a difference. Get a timing light.

1. I am still running the dx cable on my LX and it is alright. just use some zipties in strategic places. it took me about a week to get it at the perfect tension.

2. The bolts on the fuel rail are the same bolt that hole your ecu cover on. i know because i am using them right now. the TB bolts can probably be sourced from your old manifold. if not just ghetto rig it and drive to honda.

3.i have the studs on top of the fuel rail and my wiring is just chillin on top of it with no bolts. get some peices to stick in the holes to it will keep your wiring in place. thats all you need.

4. a distributor off by a hair it wont make a lot of difference but you do need to get it timed as soon as you can. ghetto timing will last for a while (your method)

That cover that covers up the wiring you won't need, but for cosmetic reasons go find one sometime because my MPFI obviously had some solder and heatshrink spots and all that. I found the cover from an A6 and put it on my ZC and now it looks stock since it covers up all the non-OEM wiring, I love it.
