Default popping out of gears

ok i was doing burnouts and after that my tranny started to make some rattling noises and pops out of every gear when i leave the clutch out and let off the accelerator.... im replacing the clutch this weekend but im wondering if its the bad clutch which has been slipping for a while is what is causing it to pop out of gear... ive checked my tranny a lot and made sure i still had fluid and it has always been full.... but now im also leaking some tranny fluid... does anyone know anything about any of this... if so hit me back.. thanks Jay

You blew something up in the tranny. Hopefully you got enough $$$ for a new one.

I bought(actually it was a trade) a 90 CRX DX a couple weeks ago, and it pops out of 2nd and 5th when I let off the gas. Can an experienced tranny builder please give us an answer? I can't believe it would just be the fluid causing this?! I know(at least I think I know) that grinding when shifting is caused by bad synchros. But I have no idea what causes a tranny to pop out of gear...

the synchro hubs/sliders have "dog" teeth on them which grab over the synchro rings when you shift into each gear. these teeth wear down and get dull just like the synchro rings do only when the sliders wear down your tranny will kick out of gear because those teeth are worn and can no longer hang on.

happened to me with my old JDM S1.
