yea i've replaced the timing belt and water pump about 12000 miles ago. and the new pistons came with rings and wrist pins. do you really think a better fuel pump is needed? i also talked to one of the guys at ground zero and they tell me that the stock valves and rods in a gsr hold up pretty good for what i am running so i dunno. if anyone can get a hold of a type r tranni for me that'd be great. because along with the motor i have to also tear down my tranni and put in 2nd and 3rd gear syncros...... i appreciate the help. thanks

can anyone tell me if its really worth spending the money on a vafc for this build? i know i could adjust my vtec but i see my friend with them and it doesnt help at all. at least on a stock motor.

Well, if your in there, it wont take an extra two hours to put in rods, so for 300 or so bucks, you may as well. Do that and upgrade your valve train and your good for 9-10k rpm. 310's on a N/A setup will make you run rich, the VAFC can fix that. The pump is just another one of those things, if you do any sort of FI, your gonna need it, you may even need it to feed the 310s. If I were in there, Id do all that. Theres just no reason not to.

yes you will need some sort of fuel control, Hondata or VAFC. I would stick with the stock GSR rods and the GSR pump is good enough with your setup. goodluck
