How fast can a z6 be made to run in the 1/4 and still be reliable??? Im lookin to swap a z6 into an 88 hf crx

 

With my d16z6 on my '91 civic, I did 15.5 last summer at the track. Full interior. The motor is stock, except for the exhaust (2'') a little intake, a lightweight flywheel and a good 'si transmission.


So, you could expect something in the range of 15 seconds, and you will be yet reliable. Faster if you have a turbo or some internals, but you will not be also reliabe.

 

turbo that thing with jsut 5-7 psi and u will be into 13's with a good driver!
