Can you guys do me a favor really quick
Never mind the stickers or the car, see where I drew the yellow line. Can you guys go out and see if the is a little gap right there. Between the window and like the molding. I'm talking about the outside by way.
I just got my windshield replaced for free and I was just wondering. Its not to noticeable nor does it leak, so I'm not worried at all. Just curious.

There was a bit of a gap cause my weather strpping decided that it wanted to fly off. But I got some silicone and I pasted it back on there. Its coming apart again cause the silicone is heating up and coming apart.

I think they forgot to put back in part 6
What did you guys use to fill in the gap ? Should I just leave it alone if it don't leak ? I just thought about it some more, I think they would have to take the window off again. I bet the old molding looked like crap and was falling apart, thats probably the reason its gone.

Well my girls crx is the same way, so I'm not worried. If anything the molding probably fell apart or was all old, or maybe it was suppose to be like that. But since my girls car is the same way, I know nothing is wrong.

that moulding just pops in. it's butyl rubber and has the little barbs (as seen in the cross sectional view, labeled as "part 6") to hold it in place after they put the windshield in.
Part #6 is for installing a new windshield with the molding. This one fits under the window to hold it in.
Part #7 is for if you already have a windshield installed and need just the molding.

Well its normal, or everyone else has it so I'm not worried. I hope the owner don't mind me using his pic ( if so just IM me ), you can see the gap on the left part of the windshield ( right side if your inside the car )
And heres another, you can see the gap.

Yes, there is a gap between the window and the molding, it's factory. The molding completely seals out water, but there's a "gutter" that runs between the window and the molding. That's how it was on my 90 Crx
