Default The first H1 S2000?

Mike Pendola will be taking his S2000 to Gingerman Raceway this weekend, July 19-20 for the competition licensing school, and sprint races. Could this be the first S2000 in Honda-Challenge!? Along with Ed Sackley (H2 R type), they will be taking the track in their white and black team cars. If you can get a chance to come out and witness history in the making, meet up with Ed, Mike, and HPDE 4 driver and teamate Steve Schran at Gingerman. Drive the HPDE (still some spots open), or just come out and root them on!

That would indeed be the first H1 S2K. Wish I could be there to watch.

Chad's H1 red rocket is a drag racin' machine.

Pulled me 3-4 cars into turn one Saturday.

That kinda sucked.

edit- bring on em' S2000s.

then it layed down a smoke screen an M1 Abrahms tank would be proud of going down the chute.

that sucked too

this was a very bad thing on many levels. mostly, cause i fear that Red Rocket Ver 2.0 will be even faster.....

guess we will all find out in about 3 weeks or so.....

The S2K in question belongs to "EFFECT", right?

Really cool car. It' a theft recovery or salvage title, right? That's the only way I could bring myself to cut up an S2K like that.

I don't see how an S2000 can be competetive with the minimum weight restriction. My car weighs in below the minimum weight and has 300 RWHP - we were faster than some of the H1 cars, but slower than some too. Back that down to the stock 200 RWHP and there is no way the car can keep up.

Woah cool, thats me! Thanks Lawrence! This weekend should be a blast!

And for the record, even "mild" H1 cars walk away from me in the straights. Looks like I have my work cut out for me.. time to get some NAWSS!

I'm hoping you and Ed will make the trip to VIR, for the ECHC race. I'd love to see the S2K in action!

for being the first to race one in the HC.

LOL...thanks Todd, I needed a bit of humor today. Bad news is that our search for a spare B18C short block will have to commence again...seems UPS could not deliver our spare to the machine shop before losing it....its somewhere...out there...all alone...in limbo...

well maybe I need to get my S2000 out on the track. Its my project car for the SPEED World Challenge.... So I hope.
The cage was finished in Feb and soon other mods are going on.
In H1 can I super charge my S2000?
If not im going to test run a season in say GPO or another modified class.
thanks
Ralph Howe.

Ahhhhhhh, No. Negative. no blowers. no NOS. no turbos. no JATO units. not to mention, for the S2000/NSX competitors, no headwork, no cams, no bottom end work, no TBs, no injectors, no standalone computers. basically, the S2000 and NSX must run "stock" powerplants. they also aren't allowed to go on "Jenny Craig". the weights they carry are fairly close to the stock car's weight.

hope to see you out there at the next race!
