Kenjis ECU is insane...
I had to clip jumper 1 to have my car pass emissions. Wow, my car is so much slower without Kenjis program running. That ECU is bad *** and I strongly recomend anyone who has thought about purchasing a race ECU to go with Kenji. He's the man!!!
WTH?
Can't someone post that they are happy with a product?? And at the same time vouch for Kenji?? SHEESH.....
Rough Crowd. Yea, it is obvious, but so is the fact that customers are happy with Jspec performance, IPS, R&D, A&J, etc, etc, the products they buy AND THEY POST just the same thing as this thread talks about!!

Edit: My post looks sorta retarded when the two posts above it (that aren't forgotten) get deleted.

I dirve an Xterra, and I will vouch for Kenji's ECU programs. I used them for like 3 years when I was big time into Hondas.
Kenji is cool as hell, too.

Kenji's ECU is great. But, you better tune that sucker. It runs faily rich.
When I dynoed my car with I/H/E + stock ECU vs. Kenji's ECU untuned, I gained some HP in the middle (due to lower VTEC x-over on Kenji's ECU), but the top end HP was the same.
Good stuff, since everything is bolt-on (no soldering required), but I would recommend tuning it on the dyno.

This may be true. I've never seen it run "too" rich.. but then again, all the motors I have used it on were minimum 11.5:1 compression with Spec A's or Jun cams.
On a nearly stock motor, I could see why it would run rich as hell.

What the hell?
A 9000 F22?
Never mind the ECU, you'd better invest in shuffle bolts and get to know a machinist really well.</TD></TR></TABLE>
I believe he's talking about putting an s2000 motor into an itr.....
9k is their normal rev limiter I believe.....

I run his ECU for some months now.. Very rich, but I don`t care because I am an Autobahn runner... 8k+ for longer than 20minutes is normal for my driving so better be rich than lean and the valves stay clean..
This is what I can tell about the performance:
Indicated topspeed stock ECU: 248 km/h
Indicated topspeed Kenji ECU: 265 km/h
I gave this ECU tzo a friend, a prof track racer. He is running spoon ECU so he`s got a good part to compare. He told me Spoon is better for racing because topend is better with Spoon. But my ECU had been crazy right after pluggin in through midrange... "impressive torque gain from 3k on"..
So for the money I`ve spent I`m happy.
Only one issue: The engine stalls after ignition when the weather is cold outside... In winter I have to switch to stock ECU.

Philly_NBP_R,
I would recommend at least I/H/E for my ECU.
ITR5874,
That idle issue can easily be solved by adjusting the throttle adjustment screw. Turn it to the left a turn and a half or so.

Kenji is a good guy; went out of his way to fix a harness made for my V-AFc a long time ago. Thought I had a crap Civic Si for some reason.
Anyways,
to Kenji on quality.
