Default Brake Master Cylinder info...

Has anyone ever had problems with it? The reason I ask is that it or my brake booster is blowen. Remeber how my brakes were gone at the Expo? Well I put on some new pads and flushed some super blue in. I also have the front stoptech rotors and front and rear SS lines. After the pads and the fluid my pedal still feels crappy. The brakes work good, but the pedal pressure is horrible! When you first apply the brakes the pedal goes in alot before really having pressure. Anyway, so we flused the system again hoping that it will help some. Well it still feels bad. We came to the conclusion that the pedal pressure failure could be due to my brake master clyinder or the brake booster. Heck ever since day 1 I thought the break pressure felt kinda weak compaired to stock R's. My system doesn't leak and it still in killer condition since I only have like 18,800miles on the car.
Anyway anyone have any idea's or suggestions????? I would hate to deal with the dealership as much as possible if you know what I mean.
Here's the brake setup:
StopTech front rotors
Porterfield R4S front pads
stock rear pads (since they still have a lot left on them)
front and rear Goodridge stainless steel braided lines
ATS superblue brake fluid.

I will have my car at the Bay Area meet today (WED) if anyone wants to check them out...

What method did you flush the system with?

I used this tank system that hooks up to the calpier nozzle. Its like a sump pump. You create a vacume then open the valve to suck the fluid. The way we knew it bleed was because before I had stock Honda yellow/clear break fluid. Then when we bleed the system we kept it sucking till the fluid came out with the new blue fluid we put in.

I know some suggested takign a small rubber mallet and tapping the calipers to get bubbles out. Also try having the car turned on. I believe just having the key turned to energize the system (i.e. turn radio on etc) is enough. This helped for me. And of course make sure you are following the correct order for bleeding (depends on your year and what year Helms manual you have).

If your booster is toast, you're probably losing fluid. Does your brake fluid level drop? If it doesn't, I think it's air in the system.

I don't like the vacuum pumps because they tend to leak air back into the system through the threads. BTDT. Also not a big fan of speedbleeders. I like using a pressure bleeder http://www.motiveproducts.com The universal kit works well for us on both the master cylinder reservoir and the clutch reservoir. Just make damn sure you follow the instructions on the back of the bottle, otherwise it could be messy

Also, R4S pads and the lines for whatever reason make the pedal feel artifically squisher, not because it is, but because they don't bite so hard when they first make pressure against the rotors. The stockers bite hard, which makes you think you're slowing down more, when all it means is that you need to use more pressure with the other pads. How squishy are we talkin here? Pedal to the floor?

thats almost the same unit we used to bleed the system. The only difference is that our unit was about 3ft tall with a bypass valve on the hose to create a better vacume. I did this whole bleeding at Dynospot and we all made sure that they were bleed correct. Heck we used 2 bottles of Superblue makeing sure that its blead. I dunno. I'm gonna run over to Honda heaven to pick up some stuff then I will get the car ready for the type R meet. Let me show some people at the meet and see what they say.

The vacuum bleeder doesnt let air back into the calipers if you use it right. I'll take a vacuum bleeder over a pressure bleeder any day of the week. All you have to do is make sure the resevior stays full and have someone slowly cycle the pedal about a 1/4 way for a few times to make sure all the crappy fluid is gone from the MC. Is there a chance that the JRSC messes up vacuum to the brake booster somehow? If you have a bad booster you still wouldnt lose fluid unless the MC was bad.
