Idle Problem for 89' CRX HF.
Hey guys,
I'am currently having an idle problem for my 89 CRX HF w/94k miles on it, stock, 5 speed.
Ok sometimes if I redline the car when it comes to a stop at a light, it's idle flucuates like its hunting with around 500rpm increments like back and forth pretty quick. If I throw on the a/c it stops and levels out but idles to low for the a/c and the longer I have the a/c at a stop, it gets lower and lower and lower till the wheel is shaking from vibration around 400-500 rpms. Sometimes when the a/c is on and I rev it back up 3k then let it settle back down to idle it will hunt again up and down reviing trying to find the correct idle speed. If I turn the a/c off and then on it settles back down to a normal RPM and then as time goes by it drops lower and lower like before and almost wants to stop. The check engine light does not come on but it's because either the previous owner turned it off or the light is burnt out. Also how do I take the instrument cluster out to change the light bulb?
Thank You,
Jonas

check your TPS voltage...eacv...ecu for codes. reset idle, by unplugging eacv, then reset the ecu.

8 screws to get the cluster out. 2 on top of casing...2 on bottom. unplug any switches. 4 screws on cluster and unplug harness and speedo cable.
