I have no power in first gear. When I move off, the car hesitates in first gear until it builds up in the rev to pull hard. Other then that the car runs great. What could be wrong.

 

perhaps your clutch/gas technique is flawed, i cant really why thier would be one specific gear power loss ( untill revs are up ) unless your shifting into first gear improperly.

 

Especially, when the Air Conditioner is on. If I rev the car up to 3 grand and then move of in first, it will ride good but at 1 grand or 2 it lack power.

 

Many Hondas have that problem. In fact, all Hondas have that problem.

 

Could compression be an issue?

 

Your car is fine... it is just the way the car runs...my car does the same thing... i believe it is just a lack of low range power all together.

 

It might be that you need a full tune up (Spark Plugs, Gas Filter, Air filter, Injectors cleaned, maybe Dist. cap, rotor and cables)

Yes, hondas have a lack of power on the low end, but a car that is out of tune might accentuate this.

 

That's the answer I was looking for. When I brought the car all I did was change the plugs. Nothing else. I will give it a full tune up this time. Thanks
