Couple questions - looking at a CRX w/ Type R engine. What sort of things should I be looking for? underbody/frame rust, its lowered w/ GC coils and Koni adjustable shocks - bad balljoints?

What usually fails during a CRX safety check (Ontario)

Apparently there are hood clearance issues with the engine, the hood touches the engine. I take it I'll need to modify the hood if I buy the car. also - without the LSD how useful would this car be? Handle like crap?

Lastly - the car has no power steering - good, bad, ugly? I've heard some people remove it just to get a better feel for the car. Anyhow any input is welcome.

 

to my knowledge only automatic CRXs came with power steering.

As for no LSD, as long as you behave with the gsa pedal, it will still move. I assume they used a cable tranny?
