Default Best All motor setup with....

Stock valvetrain, and internals. Looking for maybe a good mid priced header, exhaust system, intake and cams. I'm looking to get pretty good increases, it will be daily driven. Looking to spend around 1500+, just depending on the products and gains. The car wil be a 00' Type R.

Thanks alot

Lee

K&N drop in and SMSP/Hytech headerback w/ Hondata s100 & P28. You will see 20-25whp increase.

Well the entire system from John or Dave will run you a good bit. This includes the header/cat and full exhaust. John uses a MUCH better quality cataltyic converter and muffler set-up, but SMSP is proven just as well. Either one is top notch. You can probably find a used system. I think Surfer-X has the Hytech system on his ITR. Check with Dave (SMSP) on this board or e-mail john @ hitechexhst@earthlink.net

If you are not looking to get as serious as this then Your standard DC JDM 4-1/JDM ITR 4-1 w/ a Carsound 94006 and your standard issue N1 style 60mm exhaust w/ some VAFC/FPR/Cam Gear/Timing tuning will net you some nice gains as well. You will still end up spending almost as much as the above brand new with about half the power gains. Hell George is almost at 190whp w/ just the SMSP system untuned!

I would throw in some Skunk Stage1 cams. They can work with your stock ITR valvesprings and retainers and will make you some power.

Skunk Stage1's w/ a thin headgaket, and a headertech/smsp/hytech header and decent exhaust w/ hondata tuning could possibly put you into the 200whp area w/ a good tuner..

That setup with the cams should be nice. I will look into both.
