Passenger door clicks~!
ARG! when i open the passenger door, it makes 2 loud *** clicks, kinda like pops. It makes 2 because when you open your door, i guess it has 2 positions where theres a stop (hard to explain but yea) Its there to keep the door in position when you open it. But when it gets to each of the stop points, it makes a loud pop along with a springy noise. Anyone know how to fix it? At first i thought it just needed grease on the metal rod thats in front of the door, thats attached to the car, but i greased it up real nice and that didnt fix crap.
My drivers side door does the same ****! I think that happened when the door was opened to wide, and pop'ed it out. I'm too lazy to fix mine.

Is there even a way to fix it though?

Count me in along with other rexers. My friend had the latch part welded and it stopped. I welded mine, but it broke off (big surprise) I'm not sure what causes this, but I would REALLY like to fix mine for good. The gap is pretty damn big to weld. I hate opening my door everytime and hearing CLANK.
It sucks man, everytime people get in my car and it pops they're like WTF! And every once in a while someone thinks they hit the other car...man i hate it. I was thinking about just taking that little rod out, but then i guess my door could get opened too far then and damage the fender

You are correct sir! I was getting out of mine when it happend
so I know what happened. As I was getting out, and opening the door a big gust of wind came from behind the car and blew the light weight *** door from my hand.
The door swung out almost 90 deg. , and as I tried to grab it I saw the the weld on the door stopper just SNAP, right out of the A pillar.
I've tried to fix it many times nothing works. And, I don't trust anyone enough to weld with without F ing it up.
Good thing too. The beater I have someone tried to weld the door pillar to
fix the same thing and is it ever fucked up looking and its louder than the Si's. As much as I hate the noise I"ve learned to live with it. It's better than
a big ugly *** weld and rust and looking all ghetto.
The only way I can see to fix it is: Take off door and kick panel and see if you can get inside the pillar and hold it while someone spot welds it from the outside or small tack welds on both sides,. The original weld looks like a spot weld. But who wants to cut out their door pillar to fix this?
