different stock radiator for crx after swap? mine is overheating
I don't want to spend $400 on a new fluidyne...so isn't there another honda/acura radiator that will fit in a 91 crx that can cool better than the stock one? I've only seen the article on the hybrid site for an integra dual core into an EG. Could I use a 90-93 Integra radiator? I suppose another point is that if it fits, but doesn't bolt in, that isn't too much of a problem (I'll make my own brackets). Bottom line is that I hate blasting the heater during 100F+ days. I'm looking into an oil cooler, but whichever is cheaper will likely get done first. Any other suggestions?
btw, how can I use the tranny code (S1) and serial number to find out exactly what kind of car it came out of? (ie jdm crx, usdm integra...). This is mainly so I know what parts to order for rebuild/upgrade and what I can do w/ the gearing at the same time.

If a stock CRX radiator wont keep your B16 cool, then you have problems, it should be more than sufficient. Oh, and if you have a JDM S1 tranny, it is not rebuildable unless you have a source for Honda parts from overseas, since there is no US counterpart.

I'd have to agree. My stock radiator is more than sufficient to cool the B16A during repeated dragstrip runs on a hot day. Are you sure your radiator fan is coming on?
Shitty that the S1 isn't rebuildable. My synchros are fucked
.
Sorry, I almost forgot to mention - I believe the Del Sol VTEC radiator is a popular swap into a CRX, but like I said, your stock one *should* be fine.

If the radiator's not cooling properly a new thermostat won't help things. It only works if the radiator is able to cool the air when it opens.
