Fuel Pressure Regulator
I have been told that the fuel pressure is supposed to take about 48hours to drop to zero on aftermarket fuel pressure gauges. Ever since I installed my fuel pressure regulator it has lost all pressure when it's turned off and gets the pressure back when I turn it back on. Is the installation wrong? I haven't really gotten to see anyone elses fuel pressure regulator to know if it's supposed to stay at pressure or not. Anyone know about this?
Yeah , it sems there is something wron with your FPR. If you have the OEM pump, it has a one way valve that keeps the fuel pressurized. it seems that your FPR is leting fuel pass by when the vacuum is gone.
Mine (B&M comando) keeps the pressure just like the stock one did.

I had to change my fuel pump a while back to an aftermarket one. So there is supposed to be pressure. Damn, I'll have to get another FPR then. That sux. Don't ever buy a Ractive FPR because from day one it has lost pressure when the car was shut off.
hmmmmmmm this thread had me wondering and my B&M regulator drops to zero also.......... anyone know what i should do about this?? thanx
BTW: what are the consequences of having the pressure drop to zero after its shut off??
