All HC racers, j00 f00s are running with bumper supports in place, right?
...cause if j00 removed them to save some weight you're open to protests. I spoke (email) to Karl about this, since I know a bunch of people not running them, and the answer is that if you're not running them you're running an illegally prepped kaa...
so go out to your shed and get those chits back on there...
Matt
PS. please don't turn this thread into a shouting match...this is FYI only

The front bumper support is ziptied to the crossmember, which (obviously) has not been removed.
The rear bumper has not been removed ever, since I bought the car brand new in 1995.
--Karl, who reminds EVERYONE that "if it doesn't specifically say it's legal, it's not legal"

i got em in place, and glad i do!
during qualifying on Sat, the TANK came up fast on my six, and i signalled for a little "help" on the front straight. the big block gave me a little push and zooom, down the straight we went.....
can't do that without supports in place!

I bet watching you describe this is almost as entertaining as your description of what happened when the motor blew up

Yeah, sure. Just what I need. Remove more weight so I can go looking for more lead to get back up to 2175lb.
So THAT'S how I'm cheating!
Nope, I have those. Oh well, back trying to figure out where the accusations are coming from

Hey Chicken Man,
This is what I think Franza was referring to:

Well, look at it this way. So far you've been accused of punting and cheating. At least they're both out of the way!"---anonymous HC racer

What idiot's would take the bumper support out......this isn't drag racing? I couldn't imagine not being able to use the front bumper for a little friendly persuasion
A minor impact would damn near total the car, or pop your radiator......all for 15 pounds.........????

Yeah, like anyone needs to worry about whether or not you have bumper supports. Hell, I didn't even see your bumper on Saturday or Sunday past turn 3
Just as another point of reference, in WC, they remove the stock bumpers and weld on some pretty mean *** "radiator protectors"...
