Default ctr cams in 01 b18c1 with jdm itr pistons??

would any one recomend the ctr intake and exhaust cams in my motor? I already purchased some jdm ITR pistons and i will have them installed the same as the cams. Juss wanted to know if the ctr cams would make a big difference.
thankx

what year head are u using?

ctr cams will work nice with the mid 11 cr

dont rev higher than 8,000rpm if you are on stock gsr valvesrpings

They have the ctr valve springs with them, but is it still a problem? Im using a 01 Gsr b18c1, stock head and block. The jdm itr pistons are not in yet. But if memory serves it should have a 11.5:1 cr with the jdm itr pistons.

Great mid-range gains and over all. Nice value for the money.

I was running a similar set up before, same as yours except I was using US ITR pistons. Great set up, made decent midrange as well as top end. I doubled up on the exhaust valve springs and took it to 8500

my B18C1 setup has the spoon balanced jdm itr pistons with ctr cams. make sure you get the ctr valvetrain. love this setup. 14.3 passes with street tires in 96 civic coupe.

enjoy your upgrade.

Hey me to but i never ran it on the track. Still trying to sell the car.....

But it's a big bang for your bucks. You should change the intake manifold to SK2 while your at it...

With the CTR cams I'd recommend the jdm p73's with a 2 or 3 layer headgasket. I heard the pr3's won't fit on the b18c1/5 pistons. You have to rig the rods for the b16a/b17a/b18b to fit b18c1/c5 pistons, I don't see why it wouldn't be the same vice versa.

definitely go with a jdm p73 ecu. stock gsr obd2 ecu is not as responsive.
