Hyper Flex kit need help with Strut rod bushing 90-93
Ok i have the hyper flex kit and i have figured out where everything goes except the Front strut rod set. It has a Rear position part # 7096 and a front position part #7097. What are they? They seem to large for anything other that possibly a bump stop but why would it say they are the front strut rod set? And also the hole in the center is larger than the strut rod. They do not center the strut rod on the perch because that is what half of the front shocK bushing set is for. And of course there is no instructions for these parts. I wanted to get started today but i may have to wait and call energy suspension tomorrow. Thanks for any help
These 2 peices (2 for each side) get installed at the front of the strut rod. If you look at your Lower Control Arm(s), you will see a rod that attaches with 2 17 mm bolts to the lower control arm. Follow that rod and it goes towards the front of the car. There is a bolt holding this to the chasis. You will probably see the front part (may need to take off the stone shield from underneath) of the that bushing. Next take out the 2 bolts that hold it to the LCA. Install your bushings, install in reverse order.
