I am gettin HID's for my tacoma (h4 bulb) but when searching for a set to buy they have different colors to choose from. Which color is best and does anyone know which color BMW, Lexus, MB use?
Thanks

all OEM HID cars use 4100 - 4300K philips or osram/sylvania bulbs, anything higher than 4300K is a total waste of money and the light on the road will be dimmer and more colorful on the ground.. ive driven in a couple cars with the ricey 5000 and 6000K bullshit kits, and the lighting was absolutely terrible, even with an OEM HID projector.. plus, with the money you spend on HID, why would you want anything less. just make sure you get a properly shielded kit.. this will get rid of all the yellow glare that the show kids bitch about.. it will look just like a benz or lexus at night if you have a glare shield, not to mention, people wont be flashing you.
philips & sylvaina 4300K = 3200 lumens
philips ultinon 6000K = 2400 lumens (losing 1/4 of the light from 4300K to 6000K doesnt sound worth it to me)
7000K, 8000K, and up dont have much more light than your normal high beams do. id say around 1700 lumens and below.. your stock halogens should put out around 1000 lumens on low beam and 1700 high beam, if not a little bit less..

The CATZ kits should come w/ all the proper shields (as shown below), and also will have a servo to move the bulb in and out on the H4 kits, for low and high beam. *edit* there are 2 different h4 kits, one for low beam only, and one that has the servo-operated bulbs for both high and low beam, which costs more obviously.

Also, buy from visualdynamics.ca, and show them that website. They will meet or beat the price.

I know, that's why I said they will meet or beat the price. If they beat the price, it would be a great deal. Even if they only match it, it would be worth it to buy from them because they have good customer service. I bought my Phillips kit from them back in December.

All of Catz kits are properly shielded for H4, 9004 and 9007.
Stick with the 4500K kits as they perform the best and are the brightest.
Visualdynamics.ca is a good place as well as http://www.liteswap.com
