Default Code 9, CYL sensor, what may actually be wrong..??

its been a year i had my swap and i have always had codes....
well todays i got rid of the last 2 but one....
CYL sensor.. code 9

well i decided to re wire the sensor , to get rid of any mistakes i might have done when i did MPFI....
well i repined it and have new wires and code still there....
troebleshoot the dizzy and all sensors are within specs...
i replaced the dizzy with a known good one and code still there....
replaced the ecu with an Si and code was still there...

all i can think so far is:
the 2 cables that go from ecu to the dizzy arent shielded!!
the stock ones were....
May that be the cause why my code keeps comming out??
do actually not having a shielded wires can affect the readings from that sensor to the ecu???
if so has anybody shielded it?? wrapping cable strings around it and groudning it?!?!?!

any info on the matter its good... i have done all the troubleshooting and that still there... its my last code and i need to get rid of it so i can dyno tune it....
i am out of ideas....

help a brotha out..

Thanxs

Did you check your belt timing?

Also what does sheilded mean? Covered up? Mine have tape and wire loom around them, not sure if that means they are sheilded or not.

Check your Timing...

I had Code 9 and it drove me Nuts trying to Track it down thru Wiring, Till I spun the Motor over and saw I was 1 Tooth out on the Exhaust Cam.....New T-Belt and Retimed the Motor.....No Code since.

Dude I wish I could help, so you ran the wires direct from the ECU to the dizzy? After you do that, try this. Pull the - off the battery termanal then un plug the plug that is mounted on the dizzy with two wires. Now put the - bat. cable back on and plug back in the plug on the dizzy. For some reason this worked when I was throwing a code 4 and the CAS was within spec and I had ran the wires direct. And I started it up and it ran like a champ. I think that it somehow resets the dizzy maybe? I dunno but it worked for me..... try it and let us know

Good luck

Thanxs blaze, any help its better than anything....
anyways... i was lookin at the schematics and those wires need to be shielded!!!

do anybody has used shielded wire on the CYL and still trowing codes??? or how many people dont trow codes after using regular wires...

i went and rewire the sensor using shielded wire and even got it right

the CEL wont turn on while on idle..!!!!!!!!
i let engine warm up and didnt trow it...
as soon as i rev my engine and its goes beyond 2500 it turns on....
i tried this a few times and only hapens its i rev it....
i tried the other dizzy and does it as well.....
this is my last CEL and i want it out for good!!

what do you mean by shielded? In my DOHC ZC swap I just ran two wires from the harness to the Cyl Position Sensor & it is working fine. I kinda ghettofabbed it w/ wire & crimp connectors, but it has been working A-OK.

shielded.... if u noticed, al the cables from the dizzy on the harness
those go to A16, wich its the logic ground 1 from the ecu
that shielding its designed to avoid RF going and messing the signal...

i am running out of ideas on how to fix this thing....

Just run regluar 18 ga. wire from Radioshak. Have you tried a different ECU and are your pins in the wire harness in all the way? Cause if there not then you'll have issues.
