Default NASA and HC question (clean)

Do we have a plan for if (and probably ) the summit shanondoah sept 6-7 weekend is canceled, it looks like it won't get done. Will it just be a cancel of the round and we only have 12 races this year, or will the Nov Summit date be added to the ECHC schedule?

Just curious so I can budget and prepare..

PS. I don't need anyone's opinions about what they think should be done, only a responce from the people that know what is going to be done. Thank you

At this point, since it is still an unknown, I don't think it has been discussed yet. Chris Cobetto is out of town until Friday. Feel free to e-mail him after that at chris@nasaracing.net.

I don't see any NASA events at all on the summit web page untill Oct. I guess there should be a Sep. one? Also what are they the doing to the track? Just wondering is all.

I for one hope it's canceled. It'd be nice to not have to budget in another 5.5 hour trip to the bumpiest track on the planet.

Neither Karl or anyone with the HC knows. The answer will have to come from Chris.

Summit Point is building a 3 track called the Shennandoah. I think (REALLY guessing) that there are major holdups due to the wettest April and May ( I think) on record. The same boulders that were there at the spring SCCA school looked to be in the same place in June at the HYPERFEST. The only difference was that there were no major puddles on the street getting to the track.

I beleive you can read all about it on their website.

Hey, that's a lot of people's home track.

Just look at it this way. - YOu have no time to nod off. It is the challenge of the century ( 2 now to be exact) and you make the journey NOT for the track but for the people you get to hang with.

Also, it gives you a chance to test out your suspension, tires, and challenges you to remember to drive straight if you find yourself headed towards the gravel traps.

No where on earth can you find that combination of good and bad???? It makes all the other tracks seem like icing and you can appreciate them more...

Good point, but unfortunately I wasn't talking about the results.

Why don't we replace that date by having a race incorporated into the NASA Northeast day at the Glen?

Cause Glen doesn't allow us to host any races when it's your first time there...like it is for us....

Maybe next year

Chris.</TD></TR></TABLE> are you refering to Beaver Run, I've been there twice but don't have much to compare it too other then Nelsons Ledges, which to me is the bumpiest track in on the planet.

How about another East Coast/ Mid West Honda Challenge? 8-30 - 9-1.
