Default CRX years, and differences.. mainly wirring.

This is the gig.. i have a **** load of goodies to put in my 89 Si.. alot of JDM ****.. but, i had a fire maybe 6 months ago.. ran 12's at the track.. and Nitrous backfired, and i caught on fire.. big whoop.. lol, now.. heres the deal. i had a EF9 cluster installed, it worked.. now, my engine harrnes, and chassis harness melted, along with the fust box.. and all that other crap. well.. basicly, i got all that **** out of a 91 Si.. will it convert over to the 89? do they differ in teh 2 years? i wish i could look at mine, and the new one, and tell a diff.. but i can't.. its too bad. i guess i could look at the ECU harrness side, and try and match colors, but i was hoeping you guys knew about differences.

thanks guys.. ide like to get started on my car.. basicly i want to paint it.. but i dont' want to get it back.. nice and shiney, and have it sit, cuz i don't have wires. if anything.. i guess, i could get the chassis harness in, and push it into my freight container where all the JDM goodies, and B16's, and all the other honda crap.. lol

No dude.
the 88-89 cluster wiring is different from the 90-91. The wire colors are the same, but for some damn reason Honda went ahead and rewired the cluster when they changed to the round top cluster. So if you have a 91 cluster you need the 91 harness that connects it to the dash.
It also seems that they changed the car wiring harness as well.
I have an 88 that came stripped, and I had a 91 engine harness. The two are not compatible at all. That hasn't stopped me, but rewiring and tracing every damn wire sure takes time.

dammit.. lol, anyone want to buy the ECU, to dash, to engine change-over, with headlights, and all taht other crap harrness for a 91 Si? lol

this is what i got.

a stipped *** 89 Si.. what would i need.. could i pretend its a 91? i mean.. other than the fusebox? thats all i can think of being diff? i have the 91 cluster wires too.. the only thing i don't have is a engine harrness. i mean.. if i have all 91 ****.. can't i just use it all, and act like the wirring was a 91?

are the sensors diff? the underdash fuse box diff? if the cluster wires are the same color, but diff locations, i'll get a chart and convert it.. but im mainly conserned about the underdash wires, and the ECU, to engine. i could give a **** less about climate control, and HVAC.
