DSM Turbo Pump Upgrade
My friends and I always use the DSM turbo pump in place of the stock pump when going turbo.. but I've never known the specs on it. How does it compare to the 255 lph pump that everyone else uses? DSM turbo pumps are almost a direct swap.. so it works great! Any info would be great! Thanks.
They are a bottleneck at 250 to 275 hp on the DSMs, or at least that was what the guy sold me a 97 GS-X pump told me. It was Josh Wingell, his name was fairly fluent in DSM circles, and his car was fast. I'd trust him.
Sounds about like the stock Honduh pump, no increase worth dropping your tank over.

THe DSM pumps are an upgrade for D-series hondas. HOwever, the B-series hondas use the same pumps. They have identical cross reffrences in the auto stores. The DSM pump is a good 250hp pump, maybe 300 if you make sure you're not loosing fuel pressure. My friend ran 12.8 at 105 in his '90 awd on a stock pump. We put my stock 1g fwd turbo pump in my friends crx. Hey, it was free and its keeping up with fueling great. A walbro 190 lph pump will most likley be added this winter, but for now he's making 205whp and my old stock pump fits the bill. Its worth $15 used tops I'd say. How many "buget" d-series make more than 250whp anyways?
