How do you take off the rubber e-brake handle?
First of all it is plastic not rubber.
Stradle it, pull and twist while making grunting noises and funny faces....make sure you are in plain view of your neighbors.

sure, you believe that dude but won't believe me when I told you the same thing. pffff...talk to the fist caused I'm pissed
I took mine off with the following method:
1) remove the boot by folding it back on it'self over the e-brake handle. Be careful and you won't damage it.
2) get an open ended spanner that just fits over the metal that is now exposed. Hold the spanner straight up and down.
3) carefully hammer the spanner as low down as possible so that pressure is applied to the handle forcing it off. It should come off with only a few marks that the boot hides anyway.
Mine was hell tight so I couldn't imagine getting it off by hand. Reinstall was pretty easy with the handle being able to be pushed on by hand. The boot can turned to right way round and pulled over the handle into place.
good luck.
