Having done a milder version of that at Hilltop at Waterford Hills racetrack, I all I can say is making a save like that is was one of the most exciting things I ever did in my life...

Other side of Hilltop is a 15ft drop into some trees btw.

 

good save, could have been really bad at that speed...

i can't speak for everyone, but i think after enough seat time, everything is 2nd nature. you don't think about anything. you react natually and drive by feel. when you start thinking, that's when you make mistakes. so i wouldn't call it ***** of steel. just lots of seat time and lots of skills. that's a great video. in car footage would've been nice, to see what was really going on...

as usual, just my 2 cents and YMMV.

 

I don't care how much seat time you've got, getting sideways in Turn 2 at Mosport and saving it requires ***** of steel.

For those of you who haven't been, T2 at Mosport is fast, blind, downhill, off camber, with surface variations (concrete patching) and polished so smooth you can skate on it.

In other words, it kicks ***.

Waterford is awesome! I had the **** scared out of me sitting in a Focus that would drift through all of swamp1 and swamp2 with a rear wheel 1/2 off the track!
