Default Mixed sport /race spring idea

I was wondering if anyone has tried using a firm rear spring w/ a sporty softer front? I hear that this helps limit understeer.... A few race cars in world challenge used stiffer rears w/ softer fronts too! But in a street driven situation... I dunno?
I have an eg hatch. W/ b series lsd too. but only a 14mm rear sway (want to upgrade to the beaks /itr bar kit.) and I have a gsr 24mm front sway. I have H&r sports on my car now.. and I was considering using neuspeed race rears.
