Default Aftermarket cams for b18b?

does anyone know of any internals that are made for the b18b, such as say performance cams, valves, valvesprings, etc that would go toward say an all motor b18b?

im just wondering what is out there for this engine because i may want to do something other than an ls/vtec, or FI for my car... manufacturers or websites with ls go fast parts would be appreciated. thanks!

Im going to tell you right now. I did the all motor LS thing. THe best thing you can do for that car is the a new tranny. SI, B16 Or ITR tranny.

As far as valvetrain. I had a full crower valvetrain (springs, retainers, 6403 cams, ect. on a port/polished head) It ran nice, but it liked the compression of my ITR pistons too. All motor LS done right will cost you a lot more then building LS/VTEC or LS turbo and will not net as much power. Been there, done that.

It may not have the power of and ls vtec ot turbo ls but it will still be a quick car, and the tranny is important.

I totally agree w/ the tranny statement. If you can tolerate the high revs on the freeway then upgrading to a shorter geared tranny is one of the best mods you do for the LS. Of course then you have to make sure that your powerband and transmission gearing complement each other. For either the GSR/ITR/Si tranny you'll want to make sure that your powerband starts at 5000 rpms.....as this is where the above mentioned transmission will drop you off on the the 3rd, 4th and 5th gear upshifts.
I have the crower 403's and crower valvetrain components. to Crower for making an agressive street cam that makes good power. 153 peak whp after tuning on my car

I've never been a fan of the LS/B20 vtec engines.......their reliability is just not my cup of tea. But I'll leave it at that before I get all the frank guys' panties in a ruffle.

In the end...if you're looking for big power out of your LS (180+ whp) just do yourself and your pocket book a favor and just shell the cash for a turbo.

BlueTeg, who has over $4k into his NA LS engine & transmission (parts/labor) and still can't run 13's
