b16a into 91 STD Ef check list
Here is my list of things I know i need:
motor, tranny(J1), ecu(pr3)
custom motor mounts
custom shift linkage
Hubs and knuckles
Things I need to clear up:
MPFI conversion. Exactly what do i need?
Also, I don't want to get a custom wiring harness.
I was thinking that i can just convert to MPFI and just run the 4 extra VTEC wires and avoid going to Hasport and paying 250 for a custom wiring harness.
Do i have to get a custom wiring harness? Or can i just convert to MPFI and then just run the 4 extra VTEC wires.
Did i miss anything?
I know it's definitely been covered before but i can't search, my computer keeps refreshing the query to my previous post so i cant search
Nor can i post this in the hybrid forum because my computer sucks and keeps doing the same thing it does when i try to search
TIA

It comes with the MPFI wires on the Incorporated with the Harness so you don't have to worry about doing the MPFI swap do everything at one time its much easier.
It comes with Clear Instructions you will need to add the 4 Injectors, Match Wires for the Distributor add O2 Sensor, Swap TPS wires, Vtec Spool, Vtec Oil Pressure, Knock Sensor.
Price is $165 shipped its good price since everyone is selling the OBD0-OBD1 you need to mess with the MPFI wires and **** like that. This harness has the wires on it already so you don¡¦t have to worry about anything!!! Also this harness you can put the DX/STD engine back when you sell the car just unplug the harness and slap OEM DX/STD harness!!

just finished up a std swap
if you plan to run obd1 just buy the harness
I didn't took around 50 hours to do without the harness versus 15 minutes
well worth your money
dont forget new timing belt, rotor, cap, plugs, water pump
clutch, flywheel, pressure plate
axles and intermediate shaft
tach or new cluster
fluids

I ordered the motor from hmotors yesterday it should be here next week. I heard that i need radiator hoses, upper and lower and a rear motor mount bracker from a 90-93 teg.
Somebody confirm this for me please.
The price of the b16 went up to 1500$, demand is high and supplies of the cable b16a are very low.
Steve at hmotors said that in about a year supply of the cable trannies will be gone

you do need the rear tranny bracket. its used in conjunctions with the aftermarket mounts..you may get it with your swap though. If not you need it from a 90-93 teg.
I am having the same swap done to my car and it should be done by tonight. I got a b16a1 from nippon into my ef STD, exact same swap. Can't wait to see the difference. yeah you need a the upper and lower radiator hoses from a 90-91 integra. 90-91 integ axles and I ended getting a handfull of other things too, more than I expected, but it should be worth it.
