G2: swapping b18a auto to b18a manual questions *NEED HELP!! Going Insane!*
I am currently preforming a swap in my 91 integra. I am running into some problems with unbolting the tranny from the engine. I have taken off about every bolt on the tranny bellhousing now and the two are still stuck together. There is a 3/4 inch gap between the tranny and engine block but I still can't get it disconnected. Wondering if anyone new of any hard to find bolts or little tricks of the trade. This thing is driving my crazy. Thanks
-One more thing. I ordered a motor that was supposedly a 5spd but turned out to be from an auto. There is an EGR vavle on the intake manifold from the auto engine that isn't on my 5spd. I heard all I have to do is replace the intake manifold and that solve the problem. What all do I have to change over ie. flywheel, intake mani, etc.??

try and carefully rock the tranny back and forth to separate it from the engine block. You might have to use a pry bar ( wrap the end with a shop towel)
http://www.g2ic.com has a engine swap guide that may help you with things you need to change over. Their forums are down but on teg tips they have the engine swap guide. Good luck

I did the swap about 4 months ago... The transmission should pop off as long as none of the bolts are stripped. There are guide pins that hold the tranny in place. You may need to pry the tranny off.... Heads up on the following....
Reverse light: you will need the helms manual to figure this out. There are two wires that come out of the tranny itself. You will have to connect those cables to the automatic shifter harness inside the car. the helms manual is located in this forum http://www.g2ic.com/forums/sho...wpost
Key locks in the ignition: You will need to solder the cables on the automatic shifter that make the (P) position. You can email me later and I can send you a picture and show you exactly what I mean.
Tranny mounts....you will need both tranny mounts for this conversion.
EGR is not needed at all....cyou can put a plate over the cylinder on the Intake mani. if you need any help let me know. My email is mauricioc@ev1.net
website with pictures http://home.austin.rr.com/maurob18a1/ go to engine swap Good luck
PS. Be patient with the pedals...this takes time and you will get cut up pretty well... look at the pictures on my website and see for yourself

did you get the bolts off the torque converter/flywheel?? this would hold the tranny to the engine but out of sight....i havent ever looked on my integra but around the bell housing there should be a panel held by probably 3 small bolts. there should be 4 or 5 bolts holding the torque converter on. you will need to hold the crank bolt with a breaker bar to keep the engine from going through the compression cycles while you remove the torqu conv. bolts.
hope this helps. good luck i wish mine was a 5speed too
to me for buying the slushbox.....
