Brakes squeaking;Honda Mechanics dont know whats up.
Ok so my brakes squeak and they have been for awhile. They only squeak when i barely tap on the brakes. But if i come to a hard stop, you dont hear them. And they only squeak when my brakes are warm. So took it to one honda dealership and they tryied everything. The mechanics didnt know what the deal was. So the honda representative called me and was like yeah your car is all fixed. Sure enough when i got home after picking it up it made the same noise. And today i took it to a different honda dealership and still same problem. So after all this my brakes and shoes and what not have been replaced and everything been greased and oiled about 300 times. If anyone has any idea whats the deal with my car let me know. Thanks
i work for honda dealership........usually most of the brake noise either coming from the brake pad missing the anti squeaking shim, or its an aftermarket pad....
did they tell you in detail of wat they did?......if u tell me wat they did, i can try to find out other cause to your squeaking problem.......4 free

bingo those anti squeak thingines are great I also use ANTI speak grease works great..........
I'll bet it's your pads. Buy a set of cheap pads and see what happens.
I had the same problem when I first did my brakes. I changed the rotors and still had the same noise. Change the pads twice, and my problem was fixed.

Uhh, no.
But it is true that the pads are probably the problem. Getting cheap ones will only worsen the problem, and create others too. Been there, done that.
You might want to look into upgrading your pads like getting some axxis pads, or cobalt friction.

Did they machine the rotors on the car?

Squeeking can also be caused by the materials the pads and rotors are made out of, and its not always just the cheap ones that will squeek. Did the squeeking start when you got them changed, what type of pads did you get, what type of rotors do you have, what type of pads did you have before, did you have the problem before? That information would be helpful as well as to finding the solution to your problem.
i have pads from autozone on my car and they do not squeak at all......liberal helpings of antisqueak and the backing plates work wonders...of course washing everything down with brake cleaner before assembly doesn't hurt......:D
all i have to say is instead of changing your brake pads constantly and changing the rotors.... use brake quiet. it helps a alot
