you will have to get the 97/98 style if you want to use the 97/98 tailsection that you bought.

I know cause i had one on my bike with the 95/96 style tails and it did not fit the 97/98 tails.

 

Thanks! Yes, I should've clarified. However, I don't mind using the 95-96 tails if I can find the seat, and then swapping out to the 97-98 tail when I don't want to use the seat. So still, if anyone has one, please let me know.
