It's not really "shaved", but it's painted body color. the Std's center section is originally just flat black anyway, so no loss.

 

my center peice is just painted the same color as my car.. i cant stand the dummy tail-light strip cause at night it looks like you just have tail-lights out...

 

Yeah, it really does look like it was supposed to light up but it's broken. That's why I've always wanted to light up my center section with a cluster of LEDs or something right behind the "CRX". I'm scared I'm going to screw something up though... maybe sometime I'll pull a used set out of a junkyard or something to use as a guinea pig.

 

instead of the centerpiece, someone should buy one of those red scrolling LED bars that you can scroll words across it, and put it in place of the center piece......that would be interesting
