Default Porting Type R Throttle body..need some info

My questions are:

1.How much can i safely port an ITR tb so its evenly ported througout?
2.Do i hafta polish it up afterwards?
3.Which gaskets do i use? Can i use OEM honda gasket?
4.Do I hafta get a new throttle plate ?

thanks in advance.. any info would be greatly appreciated

1. The largest consistent bore ITR TB I have seen is about 65 mm. I know, I know Spoon claims 70mm. That is tapered at 70mm and goes back down to 62mm.

2. No need to polish it up if a good cutting tool is used on a lathe. You are going to use a lathe, aren't you?

3. You can use the OEM gasket

4. If you increase the ID (inner diameter) of the TB you will definitely need a larger throttle plate.

If you want your TB done right call Vernon at RaVer Motorsports at 559-733-4711. Be sure to tell him Kenji sent you. Good luck.
