Weapon R throttle rotor.
I installed a weapon R throttle rotor on my car today. Definatly a great simple mod. Now when you floor it, the pedal doesnt go as far to the floor. The throttle feels a lot stiffer due to the smaller size rotor. And what used to be 1/3 throttle is now like 1/2 throttle. You will actually notice a good difference. I'm surprised and happy with it.

Sounds more like a sticky old throttle plate problem to me and not the fault of the rotor...Maybe you should clean the TB out.... Any details of all these throttle rotors you've seen get stuck?
Personally I really like this mod... it's cheap and gives the throttle response a whole new feel...glad I got it.
Thanks go to importthunder on AccordTuner for reccomending it...

Stuck? I bought one for my crx and it was fine. Kept the rotor when i sold crx and put it on my accord. So that's 36,000kms since may 2002 with no problems.
I doubt there's any power gains it just gets you to WOT faster. It only weighs like a few ounces.

For the price, it really doesn't seem a lot. I mean a small billet of aluminum costing like $30 seems too much. So unless if you know how to machine and bend metal, I'd wait for lower prices or just swallow $30 and get one. I think I'm going to wait though. And Accords take forever to reach WOT.

Actually, I got a brochure from them the other day, and they are starting to come out with some really nice stuff. Skunk2 style IM, ECU conversion harnesses, extended wheel studs, etc.; maybe they're not going to be just ricey anymore.

Anything unecessary is added weight. I'll just push my foot down alittle more.

hmm..don't you have a throttle rotor, anyway?? it really wouldn't be added weight, then (unless the weapon r weighs more, and what are we talking about, a couple ounces? I would like more info on these..i'm thinking of putting one on my Ls (going turbo, too), would this help boost lag response, or just throttle response when i touch the gas??
people said it's added weight because it's junk, it aint gonna help.
you gonna port and polish and get a bigger tb to make it worth the money.
you gonna see no or little gain with it on your turbo setup.
you are pushing air in instead of drawing it in, simple concept.

Congratulations your WOT time will be quicker by 0.00001 sec
. Imo its more of a dress up piece for the engine bay but to each their own. Nice to hear youre satisfied with the product though.

It basically shortens the travel of your gas pedal so that you don't have to press the gas pedal as much as before to get the throttle open. That's all. It makes the engine rev. quicker (shorter travel) and to some, that equals better acceleration.

no, you just wont have to push your foot down as fast to get the same results. waste of money.
