A few questions
First, im looking to swap a b16 into a CRX Si. Which engine should i choose, the b16a or b16b or what? OR should i do the ls/vtec b18b with b16a head. Im still deciding if i should do all motor or supercharged. Im trying to build a road race car. What do you all suggest i do? Also, do i need a cable type or hydro type? The swap doesnt have to be anythiung jdm, im looking to get by as cheap as i can so thats why im considering an integra swap.
Sounds like a plan brother, I have an all motor b16a1 in my CRX, and it's set up for touring. I totally love the thing it's fast as hell and can bend the turns! The swap depends entirerly on your budget. Are you going to do the swap yourself? B16B would be bad as hell, but first you gotta locate one...then you gotta afford one not to mention you'll be going from a cable trans to a hydrolic and I think that's a lot more work, but it would be FAST! If I were you I'd stick with either the b16a1 or B18b (LS should drop straight in), stick with a cable trans. That's just my opinion. Hope I helped!
well the cheapest route would prob. be a b16a lotsa parts support for it when you save more money and I think the swap is the easiest and cheapest way to go. I have a supercharged d16a in my rex for now but plan to swap a b18c with a paxton charger on it I roadroace as well and it think superchargers work real well !!!
So ive decided on a b16a from nippon motors. Whcih supercharger should i buy? The one made for civic si's or what? Also, i guess i cant run the stock transmission, but what would be the best bet for something that gets up to speed quick but doesnt go 90 in 5th gear. Top speed im looking for around 140 so.....
